Thinking ahead: digital tools in trade fair use

Adapting digital tools for analog trade shows. This is where the trade fair budget pays off.

A system goes around the world. An interactive presentation on 3 screens in 5 meters width and in 180° goes on tour. Whether on our truck tour at 26 locations all over Europe, or at press conferences in Zurich, London and New York in 5 days, this impressive system was always where the customers are. Whether in a carry-on suitcase for the international press conference or on a 38-ton truck for trade shows and events, it doesn’t get more flexible or impressive than this.

A small booth with all products, that was the wish of GKN. It was made possible by an interactive presentation of the products on three screens next to each other. Despite the small square meterage, all products could be shown on the booth in impressive size and unimagined depth of information.

A hall full of production equipment – how to show that? Quite simply, in a virtual 360° world. This is how Walterwerk Kiel presents its variety of plants for the production of wafers. And since some details should only be accessible to selected visitors, there are two versions of the showroom: a generally accessible one with reduced information content, and a comprehensive version presented by the sales team one-to-one.

The most important trade show, and we don’t show a product. How does that work? Admittedly, it was difficult to convince the customer not to set up a machine at the trade fair, but to present all services on 400 square meters with large-screen projection, monitor installations and interactive apps. But the success proved us right. The greatest praise for us was a sentence from the sales manager: „That was the most successful trade show appearance we have ever had. Sales in the double-digit millions were realized. That’s what you get when we design a trade show booth.
